I attempted to capture Wednesday night’s eclipse in the midst of the BoSox sweeping of the Cards. I showed one of the pics to a few people and they (namely Dave and Marissa) seemed to think this picture looked “surreal.” So, I thought I’d post it so everyone else could enjoy its surreal-ness.
Eclipse.

Today I went to Weis, a supermarket close to campus otherwise known as “We Is,” to pick up some stuff for Heather for our Halloween party. While I was waiting to check out, a dear old lady in front of another woman was checking out and she came up $.30 short. The woman in front of me dug through her purse and gave the lady $.30 so she could pay for her items. The dear old lady thanked her a bajillion times and told her how sweet that was of her and went on her way.
While the woman in front of me finished checking out, the dear old lady came back in the store and gave the woman back her $.30. The woman declined saying that she really didn’t need to do that … but the dear old lady insisted she take it. After the woman denied it again, the dear old lady walked up to her and put it in her pocket. “My husband was in the car and had the money. I was very grateful that you did that for me,” she said as she stuffed the money in the woman’s pocket.
Bless her heart.

So in an attempt to delete a comment that Marissa didn’t want to appear because she didn’t realize EVERYONE could see it (she’s, how you say … technologically challenged
) i managed to delete the entire post. Sooo … I guess that makes me some sort of challenged too. whatever.
Anyway … I’m not going to attempt to remember what I said … but I’ll give you the low down in the following two sentences.
1. A student that goes to my alma mater who is an education major did not know the meaning of the word federal and it’s sad because this student, who I named Pat, is an education major and I titled the post “God Save Our Children” because Pat would, in the future, be molding young minds with her knowledge that lacks the meaning of the word federal.
2. The Arcade Fire is a bloody good band and if you haven’t bought the album or heard them yet, check out your local non-corporate record store and pick it up.
There.
