Sigur Rós? Yes please.

Sigur Rós is finally coming back to the states. I’ve been anticipating their arrival for years (2). I just purchased Marissa and I tickets for their show in Bethesda. I haven’t been this excited about a concert since Blues Traveler played a free show in Pittsburgh.

If you’re not familiar with this band, I suggest a listen.

Thank God I’m a Country Boy

July 11th, 2005 by knomat

Like the late John Denver always said, “ain’t much an old country boy like me can’t hack.”

I’ve been hackin’ away down here in Fairfax. I still miss the simplicity of life back home. Everything down here is so damn complicated. I’m still not used to it, but it’s getting better. Soon, I’ll be moving out of this institution they call a residence and into a real “homey” like townhouse with two kick-ass roommates. I just don’t like it here … in the dorm. Other than that, things are rad. My professors are rad, people in my class are rad, and Fairfax is rad.

Ironically enough, I haven’t seen a concert since I’ve been here. I’m so musically deprived right now it’s not even funny. I might check out the Kings of Leon in August after my classes are over. But until then, my thoughts are focused on the 25 page research paper I must write on self-regulation in online learning.

All is well.

To those of you reading this that care, I’ll be sending an e-mail with my new contact info and whatnot once I move to a more ‘permanent’ dwelling place.

Out.
