I’ve been immersed.
September 26th, 2005 by knomatPosting has been sparse. Sparse posting is a direct result of immersion. Immersion is the program I’m in. It’s intense, but I’m learning. Our project is right down my alley - using technology to help people in need. The gist of the project is that we’re designing a “vehicle for collaboration and communication” for teachers of students with disabilities. It might be a community of practice, but that’s still debatable. We’re in the performance analysis phase. That’s all I have to say about that. I don’t like to talk about my flair.
I’ve been playing around with CSS lately through development of my grad portfolio and our project site. Both can be seen here and here. They’re both a work in progress. Suggestions/design tips welcome.
As you might notice by a glance to the right, I got me a flickr account like all the cool cats are doing. I’ve posted some pictures from the United for Peace Rally Marissa and I stumbled upon this weekend, as well as the sigur rós concert we attended in the north of Bethesda. Check them out and check back often because I plan on populating it with more of my pictures. Flickr is good because I’ve been too damn lazy to develop any other kind of image display utility for my website. Thus, I haven’t shown anyone my pictures.
Big things are happening. Tomorrow is my interview with the board of directors for the Capitol Hill Computer Corner. You might remember my interest in this organization from this post. If I’m accepted to the board, it’ll be the first step in reaching my goal of bridging my desire to help those in need with my background in technology. If I’m not accepted, I’ll still volunteer my time at the center. More on that later.
That’s the skinny on my life for the past few weeks. Party on.
